About Chelsea Handler
Chelsea is a Los Angeles, CA-based comedian, actress, writer, television host, and producer known for her bold, unfiltered humour and sharp wit. Born in Livingston, New Jersey, she moved to Los Angeles at age 19 to pursue acting and soon transitioned into stand-up comedy. She rose to fame as the host of the late-night talk show Chelsea Lately on E! from 2007 to 2014, which became a cultural staple for its celebrity interviews and irreverent commentary. Handler has also authored several New York Times bestselling books, including My Horizontal Life and Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea, and has starred in or produced various Netflix projects, such as the documentary series Chelsea Does and her talk show Chelsea.
She remains active in stand-up, with a Las Vegas residency that began in 2025, and continues to engage audiences through podcasts, activism, and public appearances. In 2009, she won a Bravo A-List Award.
As of March 2024, she has amassed 5.1 million followers on Instagram, 1.4 million followers on TikTok and 341,000 subscribers on her YouTube platform.
