About Carolina Orlandi
Carolina Orlandi (born 1992 in Siena, Italy) is an Italian writer, journalist, and audiovisual storyteller. She studied Communication and Journalism at the University of Siena and later attended the Holden School in Turin, specializing in storytelling and narrative techniques.
Passionate about travel writing and reportage, Orlandi focuses her work on telling stories connected to victims of justice cases and the people affected by them. She began her literary career with Se tu potessi vedermi ora. La storia di David Rossi raccontata da chi gli era accanto (If You Could See Me Now, Mondadori, 2018), a memoir about David Rossi, former head of communications at Monte dei Paschi di Siena and her mother's partner, whose death in 2013 became the subject of public debate and further investigations.
In the book, Orlandi recounts her personal experience and raises questions about aspects of the official investigation into Rossi’s death, highlighting what she considers inconsistencies in the reconstruction of events.
She later published 111 luoghi di Siena e dintorni che devi proprio scoprire (Emons Edizioni, 2022), a guide exploring lesser-known places around Siena. Orlandi has worked as a journalist for Italian television networks including Mediaset and La7 and currently works as a freelance author for magazines and television platforms.
