About Bitch Sassidy
Bitch Sassidy (she/they) is a celebrated burlesque performer, producer, choreographer, and instructor known for their punk-meets-flapper style and rebellious flair. Based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB) and raised in the Canadian prairies, Bitch has made a name across western Canada and beyond with powerful stage presence and bold creativity.
With roots in theatre from age 11, Bitch trained at Capilano University and honed their skills in cabaret, film, and dance. They co-founded The Cabaret Company—Canada’s top-ranked burlesque troupe in 2024—and also launched Calgary’s premier boylesque troupe, The Jock Strips. Their performances have lit up stages worldwide, earning them the #1 spot in Imperial Burlesque Canada’s Top 5 Performers (2024).
Also known as King Smokey Waters, Bitch is a crowned drag king and award-winning scream queen. Their work has been featured in *Burlesque Magazine*, *Smitten Kitten*, and *Fashion Magazine* for their accessory brand, Pew Pew Pasties & Headpieces.
