About Bianca Peters
Bianca Castillo Peters is an Emmy-winning American journalist and television news anchor, currently co-hosting "The Noon" and "The 6 O'Clock News" on FOX 5 New York (WNYW). Born on November 17, 1989, she is of Mexican-American descent and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Long Beach. She began her broadcasting career as a sports anchor and reporter for College Beat Productions in Long Beach, California, later serving as a host and segment producer for JUCE TV, a news anchor and reporter at KOBI-TV in Medford, Oregon, and a traffic anchor plus sports reporter at WFOR-TV in Miami, Florida. Peters joined FOX 5 in September 2019, initially co-hosting early morning and then weekday morning shows like Good Day Wakeup and Good Day New York before transitioning to her current afternoon and evening roles. Beyond news, she is a certified sommelier, a passionate advocate for foster care, and an active presence on social media where she shares her interests in travel, fashion, humor, and wine.
