Biography
Begüm Polat was born on May 30, 1994, in Ankara, the first child of a father from Kırşehir and a mother from Ordu. She completed her primary and secondary education in Ankara. Her talent for music was discovered by her music teacher in primary school, making music the focus of her life. Throughout her school years, she participated in and won awards in numerous singing competitions. For her university education, she was accepted to the Ankara University State Conservatory Opera Vocal Department (ranking second) and to the Bilkent University Opera Vocal Department (ranking first) with a full scholarship. However, due to her family's financial difficulties at the time, she was unable to pursue conservatory studies. She decided to complete her education at Gazi University's Faculty of Communication, which she had been accepted into through the university entrance exam. She graduated from Gazi University with honors. She completed her music education by simultaneously passing the entrance exams for both the Polyphonic Music and Turkish Classical Music departments of TRT Ankara Radio. She continued her music career for the first four years in Polyphonic Music and the following eight years in Turkish Classical Music. During her years at TRT, Polat's only wish was to share the compositions she had written since childhood with millions of people.

Her Career
Following a successful education, Begüm Polat fully transitioned to the music industry, releasing songs with lyrics and compositions she wrote herself. In February 2015, Polat performed her song "Susardın," which she wrote and composed herself, at the Turkey Youth Awards Ceremony sponsored by Kral TV Media, and won the Turkey Youth Performance Special Award that night. However, this wouldn't be so easy. In those days, when the music world was dominated by monopolies, being new to the industry and being new to Istanbul brought her various misfortunes. Unable to achieve the success she desired at that time, Polat took her songbook and returned to Ankara. In 2016, Begüm Polat turned to acting after her paths crossed with Kerem Alışık. She won a full scholarship to the Cinema and Performing Arts Acting Department at the Sadri Alışık Culture Center Ankara Academy. Thus, the artist also transitioned to an acting career. In 2018, Polat had her first acting role in the film 'Koyver Gitsin' (Let It Go). She also sang the folk song "Tombalacık Halimem" used in the film. While searching for a way to keep her compositions alive, and just when her hopes were dwindling, the music market took a leap forward. With the advent of social media and the digitalization process, she found an opportunity to break free from the chains of monopolization and showcase herself. Hearing from a musician friend about the emergence of the TikTok app and how the public would love her and overcome obstacles, Polat opened a social media account and gained significant public support during the pandemic. Gaining both a large following and economic power through social media, Polat once again took her composition notebook and headed to Istanbul. Thanks to the public's interest, love, support, and the power of social media, she returned to Ankara and climbed the career ladder step by step.

Begüm Polat, as one of the rising stars of the music world, attracts attention with her powerful voice and stage energy. Begüm, who began her career as a TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) artist, quickly became a social media phenomenon and achieved great success with her pop-trap version of Neşet Ertaş's "Doyulur Mu?" (Can You Get Enough?). Establishing a strong and sincere connection with her audience through her stage performances, Begüm Polat captivates her fans with her energy.
