About Anita Morris

Anita Rose Morris was born in Durham NC March 14, 1943
She began her career performing in Broadway musicals, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Seesaw and Nine, for which she received a Tony Award nomination.

Her most prominent film role was as Carol Dodsworth, the mistress to Danny DeVito, in Ruthless People.

She was also featured in the 1984 Rolling Stones music video "She Was Hot"

She developed ovarian cancer in 1980, and given only five years to live, but went on to live another 14 years before her death on March 2, 1994.

She is the mother of actor James Badge Dale who played Chase Edmunds on the 3rd season of 24
