About Anastasia Potapova
Anastasia Sergeyevna Potapova (born 30 March 2001) is a Russian-born Austrian professional tennis player. A former junior world No. 1 and the 2016 Wimbledon girls’ singles champion, she has been ranked as high as world No. 21 in singles and No. 40 in doubles by the WTA. Potapova has won three WTA Tour singles titles and three doubles titles. After beginning her professional career representing Russia, she changed her sporting nationality to Austria ahead of the 2026 season. At the 2026 French Open, she recorded one of the biggest wins of her career by defeating defending champion Coco Gauff in the third round before reaching the fourth round at Roland-Garros. Plus, she’s a pretty gal deserving a place somewhere on any BP member’s lists!
