Throughout her career, she has cultivated a substantial following, leveraging platforms such as Instagram, where she amassed millions of followers by 2017.

Owens’s rise to prominence began with her role as communications director for the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA from 2017 to 2019. During this period, she became a vocal critic of the Black Lives Matter movement and expressed skepticism regarding the societal impact of white supremacy. In 2018, she co-founded the BLEXIT Foundation alongside Brandon Tatum, promoting a message encouraging African Americans to leave the Democratic Party. Her subsequent collaborations included work with PragerU and, later, The Daily Wire, where she hosted her own political talk show, "Candace," starting in 2021.
