Alexandra Karolina Elisabeth Karlsson Tyrefors, professionally known as Alex Karlsson Tyrefors, is a Swedish actress born on 13 August 2001 in Södertälje, Stockholm County, Sweden. She grew up in Södertälje with her parents and younger brother and graduated from upper-secondary school in Stockholm.

Alexandra made her professional screen debut in 2023, gaining international recognition for her portrayal of Stella Sandell in the Netflix crime drama A Nearly Normal Family (En helt vanlig familj). A six-part Netflix miniseries. Her performance was particularly notable because she had no previous professional acting experience before landing the role. She began auditioning for the production in 2022, with filming starting that autumn.

Her other screen credits include the Swedish television series Västra Gymnasiet (2023–2024), in which she played Agnes, and the 2024 short film The Mare, in which she was credited as the Dreamer. In interviews, Alexandra has spoken about her passion for cinema since childhood and her interest in emotionally complex characters. She described playing Stella as an intense experience, explaining that understanding the character’s trauma and vulnerabilities helped her portray her behaviour with empathy.
