About Alessandra Mele
Alessandra Watle Mele, known mononymously as Alessandra, is an Italian-Norwegian singer. Mele was born on 5 September 2002 in Pietra Ligure, Savona to an Italian father from Albenga and a Norwegian mother from Stathelle, and grew up in Cisano sul Neva. In 2021, she first moved in with her maternal grandparents in Porsgrunn, Norway, before moving to Lillehammer, to study at the "Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries".
She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with "Queen of Kings", which finished in 5th place at the grand final with 268 points and became a top ten hit in eleven countries.

I remember her so well from Liverpool 2023. She had so much personality and sass. Which I thought was awesome! She didn't win, but Alessandra will always be my Queen. Picture 2 is from Melodi Grand Prix which she won to get to Eurovision 2023. It's Norway's competition to select their entry for Eurovision, and it's been going since 1960.
