About Alena Pokoptseva

Alena Pokoptseva is a Russian model, content creator, and modeling mentor originally from Moscow, Russia. She began pursuing modeling at a young age and has worked professionally for more than a decade. Alongside the early development of her modeling career, Pokoptseva attended Lomonosov Moscow State University from 2013 to 2018. Her first major international opportunity was initially expected to take her to London, but after being denied a visa twice, she instead accepted her first overseas modeling contract in Asia.
During the following years, Pokoptseva lived and worked as a model in several Asian countries, Europe, and Turkey. She has spoken publicly about experiencing an eating disorder during the early part of her career, a period that affected her health for approximately five years. She has described maturity and greater acceptance of her body as important factors in overcoming those difficulties. Her international modeling experience eventually helped her qualify for an O-1 visa to the United States.
After moving to the United States, Pokoptseva initially settled in New York City, where she lived for approximately a year and a half and worked on projects connected with brands including Givenchy, NARS, and Shiseido. She later relocated to Los Angeles, while continuing to travel to New York for professional assignments. In addition to modeling, she has expanded her career into mentoring aspiring models, teaching posing and runway skills and advising them on portfolio development and entering the professional modeling industry.
