Alayna is a Toronto/Barrie-based professional dancer, feature burlesque performer, fine-art-nude model, and a choreographer. She is a also a community leader, organizer, and entrepreneur in the Toronto burlesque community.
She is a graduate of the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) dance program (BFA in performance dance). She has extensive technical training in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, tap, and burlesque, plus combat and weapons training.
She is a feature burlesque performer and producer of hundreds of shows/events across Canada, from Vancouver to Newfoundland.She is also co-founder of Scarlet Studio / Scarlet Studios House of Burlesque and producer of related shows like Crimson Cabaret, and a producer of Bootleggers Burlesque and involvement with Cake Cabaret, A-Toi , Slain Productions, Opera Burlesque, and others.
Alayna has performed at festivals such as the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and Toronto Burlesque Festival, plus High Society Cabaret. She has also participated in multidisciplinary theatre/dance work, including credits with artists like Feist, Joey Stylez, and the Jonas Brothers; stages such as Toronto Fringe and Theatre by the Bay; and multiple regional Broadway World Award nominations.
