Playboy's photogs' are pretty much at liberty to shoot anything they can get away with, and they let HQ decide what is a "bad thing", and what is suitable for for publication. Some of them have been at it for thirty years... they have seen and photographed so much furry and bare vulva that, like the folks that work at candy factorys, they are bored with it, it's just a job. Can you imagine? I'm convinced that Playboy has in their archives an enormous, staggering array of photos of the "intimate areas" of many of the 250,000 women that they have published photos of. Plenty of folks would give their collective left nut to see even some of these photos. Most likely, they never will. Celeb-babe, actress, and comedienne Olivia Munn devoted an entire chapter in her book to her ordeal at the hands of these professionals, just attempting to do a "simple" non-nude photoshoot for Playboy two years ago. It is an interesting, and enlightening read

Some of the Playboy photographers still haven't got a clue about what to do about the shaved beaver trend. They're still stuck in that 60's, 70's and 80's mindset where it's a "bad thing" to see labia or clitorises.
