About Marta Melro
Marta Liliana Menezes Melro, better known as Marta Melro, is a Portuguese actress, voiceover and former model who was born on May 8th, 1985, in the city of Porto, Portugal.
Before becoming an actress, she was encouraged by her parents, from a very young age, to do fashion work, namely to make fashion editorials, calendars and catalogs - including some photoshop -, photo shoots, besides participating in many fashion shows such as "Portugal Fashion", organized and realized in the city of Porto, and "Moda Lisboa", organized and realized in Lisbon.
In the summer of 2004, Marta, aged 19 at the time, and many other people (young and old, men, women and children) signed up and participated in a casting for the second season of the TV series "Morangos com Açúcar", whose first chapter would go on air in September of that year, doing several scene acting and representation tests, including workshops and ateliers, until she was one of the selected and recruited people to integrate the second season's main cast of the self-titled children's TV series, previously broadcast on the Portuguese fourth generalist TV channel, TVI.
In September 2004, for the first time in her life, she made her big debut, as an actress, in the opening chapter of the second season of the TV series "Morangos com Açúcar", previously broadcast on the Portuguese fourth generalist TV channel TVI, in the role of "Xana", a 17-year-old schoolgirl, so that she could study all subjects of all disciplines (and each one), taught at school, but at her parents' house, besides attending school every day, in addition to do many summative tests and even the national exams, to finish, in beauty and success, Secondary Education (12th grade) at the end of the school year. During the second season of "Morangos com Açúcar", which was broadcast by TVI between September 2004 and September 2005, Marta Melro played the character "Xana" in every episode with big popularity and overwhelming success. After the second season of "Morangos com Açúcar", as an actress, Marta Melro has played different roles in many different portuguese telenovelas and some TV Series, all broadcast on TVI, over the next years of her professional carreer, since 2005 until the present.
