Thanks for the comment. It is true Edison did not rlleay invent the incandescent bulb. Actually, Tesla's original ac induction motor was two-phase. He later built other versions, including three-phase, which is now most commonly used. The animation was meant to illustrate the basic concept common to all ac machines.
