About Janet Banzet
Began her career in mainstream films, a Mary Tyler Moore lookalike appearing in minor uncredited roles. However, even these were so few that she was soon relegated to minor softcore sexploitation films and occasionally worked as a manicurist to supplement her income.
In 1961 she studied acting in William Hickey's classes at New York's HB Studio.
She had a small role in the 1970 adult film The Party at Kitty and Stud's better known later under the title Italian Stallion which was Sylvester Stallone's film debut. She acted in about 40 movies.
One evening she had made plans for dinner with some friends, but despondent over her career and a recent failed relationship, she instead committed suicide in her small apartment in New York City.
She is buried in Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, California in Los Angeles County.
