Desislava has risen to prominence in the sport of snooker since a young age. The snooker referee graduated from the University of Forestry in Sofia with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture in 2016. In between the snooker tournaments, she usually creates 3D renderings of home. She really knows how to manage games and studies.
It was in 2011 when she learned about the Bulgarian Snooker Referees Association. She came to know that this association assists people in becoming snooker referees, and she decided to join. Soon, she passed the international snooker referee test. Her maiden international snooker competition as a referee was The Players Tour League’s 2012 Bulgarian Open. She has also officiated in the English Open, German Masters, and Players Cup.
Desislava's first rankings final was the 2016 Riga Masters. Moreover, she also made her Triple Crown officiating debut in the same year, officiating a match at the 2016 UK Tournament.
Bozhilova was first seen in the primary stage at the 2019 World Snooker Competition. She was again chosen to referee at the World Championship for the following year.
Not to mention, Desislava is one of the highest-paid snooker referees in the world. It has been discovered by TSM Sportz that Bozhilova earned a basic wage of $23,500. This is more significant than the female average. In fact, she is said to expect a higher 'per game' cost and a sizable snooker sponsorship income.
